On the Road Again
We picked up our car rental and have left Paris behind. Our stay for tonight is in a tiny agricultural community somewhat near Giverny and the land of Monet. It’s quite a big change from the busy hustle and bustle of the big city. I’m writing from a porch that looks out over yellow canola fields with quaint buildings in the distance. The music of the birds is so relaxing and the sunshine is brilliant, so, wash day it is! The nice breeze also helps. Everyone needs a transition day; even when we’re on holiday.
The town of Giverny is beautiful and we’re looking forward to walking the paths that so inspired Monet.
The drive from Paris to here was uneventful but there were traffic accidents on the highway which delayed the trip by about 45 minutes (pretty long delay for what was only a 60 minute drive).
Our biggest task tonight is to identify the birds that are tweeting and flitting all around us.
